You were sure it was his fault - Legolas - that little devil! Sure, he was only a little elfling but so annoying in the same time! He really got it from Thranduil. Day before you had a lot of work to do, you finished it after midnight, when the king and prince were sleeping for a few hours now. So when Legolas jumped on you in the moment sun went up you were furious. Literally you covered him in blanket and - only in nightgown - you went to the throne room. And you didn't care that so many guards and people are there, or that Thranduil is arguying with Lord Elrond, no. You were tired, annoyed and furious. Legolas on the other hand was in Heaven, not literally. But he did enjoy the fact that you were carrying him in blanket and you gave him to confused and frozen Thranduil.
"Your child, you are going to be a babysitter, I've had enough!" You snapped and placed hands on your hips.
"It's your child in the same part!" Thranduil snapped back, ignoring the confused look on Elrond's and guard's faces. You rolled your eyes.
" '(Y/N) I want to have a baby. I want to have an heir, could we have a child? I will take care of him I swear, you won't have more work than now, I promise.' "You were imitating him with a high voice. You heard someone chuckled. Little Legolas climbed on Thranduil's head and started to poking father's crown. "Now here, you have a baby. Take care of him!" You hissed.
"Well you weren't really resisting when we were 'creating' him." Thranduil snapped back and your face turned scarlet. In the same moment Legolas fell of Thranduil and you caught him right before he hit the ground. You slapped king and hugged your son.
"You are the worst father and husband in the whole Mirkwood! I am working nearly whole day and night, and yet you don't give a shit about your son and now he could get hurt just because you are so stubborn and don't want to take care of him!" Legolas scared cuddled up to you like a monkey. Thranduil froze, without any emotion on his face, as you left.
"I see I am not the only one who think you should change, Thranduil." Elrond smirked as king snorted and went after you.
"(Y/N)! (Y/N)... for Eru's sake, stop!" You turned to him still mad.
"What?! Too hard to ran in this dress of yours?" You snapped holding Legolas in your arms. He hid his face in your hair. You had right to be mad, since you were Thranduil's wife, you were also a Queen. You had many duties and work to do, and now you were also a mother. Since Legolas was born Thranduil barely played with him, and it was sure as hell he never hold his son in his arms or hugged him. That's why Legolas was so attached to you. "Thranduil, if nothing will change, I refuse to live like this. I can barely sleep, I work whole day and when I don't I am taking care of Legolas. I am exhausted and you did nothing for me or Legolas since our son was born." You sounded far more tired than angry now. Thranduil slowly walked closer and embraced you and Legolas with his arms. He kissed your forehead as you looked down, letting Legolas cuddle up.
"Naneth! Naneth, I'm hungly!" You son whined as you sighed.
"You better return to your guests in throne room, my king." You said and walked to your chambers, carrying Legolas in your arms.

"Naneth, why you sad?" Legolas asked, lying in your arms. You stopped humming a lullaby and looked at your son surprised. "Ada don't like me?" You could see tears in your son's eyes, so you hugged him tightly and shook your head.
"No... little one, your Ada loves you. He just... don't know how to show it." You smiled weakly. Legolas shook his head.
"You lie." He shrieked and cuddled up to you. "Naneth, I want a lullaby." He suddenly said. "Please." He looked at you this puppy eyes. You just couldn't say no when he was doing it.

Legolas was listening and watching you with his big blue eyes widened. You were rocking gently on a rocking chair, smiling softly at your son. He looked so much like Thranduil, and yet he was so different. He had your heart, even if his father's look. Suddenly you felt someone is kissing top of your head. You didn't stop singing, even when Thranduil's arms embraced you. Legolas slowly fell asleep and you stopped.
"He looks like you." You said silently, holding sleeping Legolas in your arms. Thranduil placed his chin on your head.
"Yet has your heart." Soon king knelt next to you, to look at his son. "He's perfect, Melamin." He whispered and kissed your cheek, gently touching Legolas's face.
"Here, hold him." Thranduil at first was trying to find any excuse for not doing it, but when you placed Legolas in his arms, his face expression became more soft than ever before. He was smiling at his son. You stood up so king could sit and place his sleeping child in more comfortable position. Soon Thranduil grabbed your hand and you were sitting on his lap, and you were both holding Legolas.
"I couldn't dream of a better wife, or son." Thranduil said with a smile on his face and kissed you gently. "Lle naa vanima."(You are beautiful.) You blushed a little as he said that.
"And what with your guests in the throne room?" You asked teasingly.
"I told them I have a a duties as a husband and father." Thranduil smirked and kissed you.
"Yuk! Ada! Naneth!" You laughed when you saw disgust on Legolas's face and smiled when Thranduil kissed his son's forehead. "So you like me Ada?"
"I love you Legolas. Just like I love your Naneth." You placed your head on Thranduil's arm.
"And I love you both, my brave pretty men."
"Hey!" You laughed when Thranduil and Legolas shrieked in unison. You were a true family now. And nothing could change that.

You shouldn't be here. Thranduil told you to stay in Greenwood but you didn't listen. You wouldn't survive hearing that he's dead, you had to make sure he will be okay, that nothing will happen to your son. That's why you were now on the battlefield, fighting with orcs, trolls, goblins and other creatures. You were quiet good at it. But you were fighting for too long and you were tired now, distracted. And then you saw Thranduil, fighting with few orcs in the same time, he didn't notice one which was behind him. He would have died if it wasn't you. You, who jumped on the orc and killed it, ignoring everything around you. And so you didn't see an arrow flying in your direction. It pierced your chest. Thranduil yelled and tried to fight his way to you, but before he could, two orcish blades stabbed your body as you fell on your knees. And then the mace hit your chest. The orc that did it was bigger and stronger than others. It was pale, covered in scars. And then it just walked away. Darkness took you, and never let you go.
After the battle Thranduil found your body. His legs collapsed as he saw it. Pierced by so many arrows, covered in wounds and scars. He couldn't hold his tears. It was too painful. He pulled your dead, cold body closer to his, he was whispering your name. Begging you to come back. But you didn't. You was there to make sure he will be fine. Because of him you were dead now. His precious, gentle little flower was gone. His wife. His queen. His love. Mother of his child. Your dead, frozen, (y/e/c) eyes were looking at him. He just wished you to smile, hug him and laugh, tell him you got him and you will soon prank him again. But nothing like this happened. You were gone and he could do anything to change it.

"Ada, spiders are gone." Thranduil was looking in space, he was thinking again about you. Coming back to the day you really became a true family. He couldn't let go, this memory was the only thing that keep him sane. "Ada? Ada!" Someone's voice snapped the king out of his thoughts. Legolas looked at his father with concern. "Ada, are you okey?"
"What a stupid question." King snapped. He was like that since you died. Cold. Even for his own son. Legolas had no memory about you. It was sad, but Thranduil never wished to change that. "Of course I am alright."
"You were thinking about Naneth again?" Thranduil glared at young prince. This subject was forbidden. "Ada, I want to know who she was, you can't avoid this-"
"I am the king!" Thranduil cut him off. "I am the king, and your father and I decide if I'll talk about this and this will never happen!" Legolas stepped away. His father was like this only when someone mentioned you. Guilt was eating him, slowly crushing his mind. Because of Thranduil's behavior, Legolas became more like his father. Cold. Your friend, (Y/Friend's/N) remembered you from the times Legolas was a little elfing and it hurt her to see your family like this. That's why she wanted to speak to Legolas, when she met him after Battle of Five Armies.
"Prince Legolas!" Your friend shouted and stopped her horse before the prince. "I am (Y/F/N), I was a good friend to your mother, (Y/N)." Legolas looked at your friend surprised. "I think it's the time for you to know the truth. The whole truth."
